Two Vedic Engines. One API Key. The Complete Stack.

Create a free account, open the dashboard, and generate a key. Send it as X-API-Key on every JSON request. Without a key you still get the public HTML panchanga and a Basic JSON slice (angas, vāra, sunrise, spaṣṭa grahas). Paid routes need a paid key.

For the daily panchanga: a civil date (YYYY-MM-DD) and a place name, or latitude, longitude, and timezone. Leave time empty for sunrise — Drik sunrise on Drik, Sūrya-siddhānta sunrise when that engine is selected. For kundali, send the birth clock as well. Matching uses the same fields twice, with boy_ and girl_ prefixes. Default place is Dehradun if none is given.

Free Basic is the public slice and 1,000 credits a month — not for production apps. That slice is available on both paddhati: Drik and Sūrya-siddhānta. A Free Basic account can mint a Sūrya key. Developer (₹499 / year) and Pro (₹1,499 / year) open the full Drik engine for development, classroom, and other non-commercial work; their Sūrya access stays the Basic slice. Commercial (₹4,999 / year) is the production license: panchanga, kundali, matching, white-label JSON, and the full Sūrya-siddhānta engine. पर्वाणि open on any paid plan. संयोगान्वेषणम् and संवत्पञ्चाङ्गम् are Enterprise only. Enterprise starts at ₹21,000 / year with unlimited credits: those two tools, kundali book PDF, mobile HTML+PDF pack, bulk dates, named domains, and an SLA. See coverage and pricing.

Use Drik for the default modern panchanga: Lahiri sidereal longitudes and Drik sunrise. That is what today’s panchanga and /v1/panchanga compute. Use Sūrya-siddhānta when you want the classical engine (mean and true graha, Chapter 9 asta/udaya, that engine’s own sunrise). Free Basic already has that public slice — open the calculator, send engine=surya, or call /v1/surya/panchanga. Kundali, matching, and other paid SS routes stay Commercial. The two engines will not print the same clocks or longitudes. Do not mix one engine’s sunrise with the other’s grahas.

A kundali call needs date, birth time, and place. It returns lagna, grahas, house cusps, sixteen vargas (D1–D60), Vimshottari mahadasha, antardasha, and pratyantardasha, Yogini mahadasha and antardasha, Dasha-phala and Yogini-phala (BPHS contextual mahā–antar for the next 10 years), a Dasha timeline (current plus 1 / 3 / 5 year slices and change windows), Varṣaphala (Tajika Nīlakaṇṭhī sidereal Sun-return, muntha, year-lord, three mudda daśās, year windows, monthly mudda timeline), Gochara (current slow grahas, natal impact, upcoming ingresses, joined to own BAV and relative SAV), Career, Wealth, Marriage, Health, Education, and Children reports (BPHS house/lord/kāraka synthesis with named adhyāyas), selected yogas, Kuja / Māṅgalika (Phaladeepika 10 verses and bhaṅga yogas), Kaal Sarpa, Sade Sati (ḍhaiyā windows, upcoming Saturn gati, Phaladeepika 26 verses and paddhati upāya), Āyurdāya (three gaṇita methods, yoga-khaṇḍa, māraka daśā), Bhāva-phala (BPHS 12–24 house/lord chain), Shadbala, Ashtakavarga (tables plus BPHS relative phala), and Jaimini karakas. Matching returns Ashtakoot scores out of 36 (Muhūrta-cintāmaṇi Vivāha verses, printed bhaṅga, Nadi flag) and a paired Manglik result with the printed pair-bhaṅga when both charts have raw Kuja-doṣa. Other dasha systems, Dashakoot, and full remedial essays are not in this release.

Each successful JSON call spends credits from this month’s allowance. A tithi or geocode call is 1 credit; a daily panchanga is 2; a kundali slice is 3; one varga is 4; Shadbala, Ashtakavarga, dasha-phala, yogini-phala, varṣaphala, gochara-report, Jaimini, kundali/full, or matching is 5. The printable kundali book PDF (25) and the mobile pack (30) are Enterprise only; Enterprise starts at ₹21,000 / year with unlimited credits. Commercial’s 1,000,000 credits are a monthly allowance, not unlimited compute. Multi-day range, kala, and month routes are also Enterprise only. JSON field names are English. Paid panchanga includes Hindi in display and in saṅkalpa, so an app does not have to transliterate tithi or nakṣatra names. There is no multi-language interpretation or article pack.

Production and paid apps need a Commercial or Enterprise key. Free, Developer, and Pro keys are not a production license and must keep the engine credit on public pages. Commercial and Enterprise may hide the engine name (white-label). Terms: Drik-API License 1.0 and, for the classical engine, SSP-API License 1.0.

They follow this host’s Drik or Sūrya-siddhānta implementation, the place you send, and that engine’s sunrise. A regional print, another vendor, or a different ayanamsa will differ. That is expected. License §17 states there is no warranty of identity with any one almanac.

No. This product is a calculation API plus the first-party HTML panchanga and, for Drik, an A4 PDF. Festival lists, WordPress, Shopify, and Wix plugins are not included. Build those on top of the JSON if you need them.
